When we are closed our phones are answered by a registered nurse who can assess your needs. The nurse will offer advice or immediate assistance if required but cannot take messages or make appointments.

We are pleased to offer another option for after hours GP appointments. We have partnered up with Practice Plus, who are able to provide virtual, after hours GP consultation.

Weekdays 5pm – 10pm
Weekends 8am – 8pm

24 After Hours Surgery:

Temporary hours, no longer operating 24 hours.

From Thursday 21 September, 24 Hour Surgery will close to patients each day between 10.00pm and 8.00am the following day. This is a temporary solution to our current staff shortages, and we will be returning to a 24 hour service as soon as we are able to safely do so.

Appointments:
Standard appointments are 15 minutes. It is not always possible to deal with multiple problems in that time. If you think you will need more than 15 minutes, please book a longer appointment (this may incur an extra fee). For routine and non-urgent appointments, we recommend booking online a week or two in advance to ensure a time and date that suits you with your regular GP. If you need urgent care on the day and are not able to find a time that suits you, please call us on (03) 3725190.

POLICIES

Missed Appointments:
In the event of missed appointments, or cancellation within 2 hours of the appointment time, a non-attendance fee may be charged to your account. We understand sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances you may run late or must cancel your appointment. We kindly ask that you give us a call to let us know as soon as possible.

Test results:
We will contact patients regarding significant or clinically abnormal results. We do not routinely contact patients with normal results, but are happy for you to phone our nursing team to confirm your results.

Repeat prescriptions:
If the doctor has agreed to repeat prescriptions without the need for a consultation, please allow two working days to process your request.  Repeat prescriptions are only available for stable medical conditions which have had medication previously prescribed by one of our doctors. Unless previously agreed, you must have been seen for this condition in the past 6 months. Faxed and urgent same-day prescriptions incur an additional fee. In order to provide the best standard of care, the doctor may decline a request for a repeat prescription without a review consultation.

Please note – No drugs of addiction/dependence will be prescribed. This is for your safety and ours.
