Its something behind the scenes, something that patients don’t give a second thought about, but its an essential part of modern day practice management, I am talking of our Patient Management System.
We’ve been using Medtech32 for many years, it is a mainstay for myriad of clinics around NZ, and it has served us well but the time has come for a change. Our new system, Indici, will provide us with easier access to patient information, as well as access to external providers and specialists, plus an improved patient portal.
Our current portal will be disabled on Friday night, and an invite will be sent to all enrolled patients on Monday with a link to the new patient portal.
We will be operating a little different for one week, just whilst our staff all get to grips with the new system, its different processes and how it presents patient information, we have allowed for a few more gaps in the appointment books to allow for learning and catchups , but we should be back to full speed the following week.
Its been a journey so far, and we are nearly there, it is an exciting change for us as we head into 2024.

Flu Vaccinations http://www.inspirehealth.nz/news/ Thu, 30 Mar 2023 03:20:39 +0000 https://www.inspirehealth.nz/?p=2778 FLU VACCINES 2023  – BOOK NOW!

Call us (03) 3725190 to book a time with our nurse.

Appointments are available in clinic from 3rd of April while stocks last.

Book into our FLU CLINIC online here or call Inspire Health Reception (03) 3725190. We encourage all registered patient to have their flu jab at Inspire Health rather than using an outside provider as it allows us to ensure accurate health records and follow up if required.

Influenza can be very serious and even fatal; everyone is at risk regardless of age and fitness. In 2017 1 in 4 New Zealanders caught the flu. Catching the flu can affect work and school schedules, holidays and social activities, and even financial and mental health. The immunisation prepares your body to fight off infection and lessens your risk of becoming sick or passing on sickness.

In 2023 the flu jab is FREE for:

Children 6 months to 12 years old.
Anyone 65 years and over.
Māori and Pasifika people 55 years and over.
Pregnant people.
People with long term conditions, including mental health and addiction.
If you believe you should be eligible for a funded immunisation talk to reception when booking.

This year there is also a second vaccination option available for those 65 years and older. FLUAD® Quad is the only flu vaccine containing MF59® Adjuvant, designed to help your body create more antibodies to help fight influenza. For those over 65 years it provides more protection for longer. This option is unfunded, talk to reception when you book in.

Covid-19 Vaccinations – Update

To roll out the largest vaccination programme in our history we are vaccinating people in groups, starting with those most likely to catch the virus and those most at risk of getting sick.

Our focus is on continuing to get those in Groups 1 and 2 vaccinated and those in Group 3* booked and vaccinated.

Canterbury is currently working through a small number of people in Group 3. Everyone in Group 3 will be contacted by CDHB to book their vaccination by the end of July either by text, letter or email.

Please note timeframes may vary and we will let you know if the planned timings change.
